“Worrying is thinking negative thoughts about things that are outside of your control.” -Mel RobbinThe title of today’s post may seem oxymoronic or counterintuitive. Worrying by definition is a negative trait so how can it be optimistic? Let me elaborate.
Point of View
HOPELESSNESS, WE HARDLY KNEW YA!
For every obstacle you’ve ever faced, you’re still here. -AnonymousThis is it. The end of the road so to speak. There’s no way out. You’re doomed forever. Do the sentences above sound familiar?
THE FAKE PRAYER
“Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.” -Garth Brooks“I tried praying. It didn’t work.” Have you ever heard someone say this before? Or have you ever personally felt that way?
THE MIDDLE GROUND
“Life is never white and black and all or nothing; it is full of greys and the rainbows and all the other in-betweens.” -McKel (Hill) KooiengaAs I type this, it’s been a few hours since President Joe Biden was officially sworn in. At the stage our country (and quite frankly, the world as well) is in, there have been polarizing views everywhere. It seems as if everyone has lost the ability to envision a middle ground.
VEIWPOINTS
a post about viewpoints and how remaining open-minded about another’s viewpoint can teach us something new. viewpoints can involve strong subjects such as politics or religion where emotions run high when discussing another’s opposing perspective.
ELECTION ANXIETY & YOU
“Individualism is what makes cooperation worth living.” -Henry FordAs of this writing, (12:51 PM CT) most of America has been glued to their TV sets, phones, computers and/or any other device which will inform them updates about the presidential election. Even those that haven’t have at least been holding their breath and on their toes while going about other daily tasks. And theses emotions are normal as there is no doubt, a lot at stake. But as we all grapple with what I’ve termed “election anxiety,” we should remember that the fate of individual happiness does not, nor should it, begin and end with one person no matter who wins.
