Sun has set.
Souls gone cold.
Heart broken.
Shattered by the orange hues.
A good day to die.
To see valhalla or whatever awaits.
To rest.
Let the moon rise.
Have it over.
As the Sun retreats my determination waivers
And I live another day.
Her heart holds tales
of broken lovers
woven upon time’s gift
gazing back at us.
Such is her beauty
finding ours in darkness
as we struggle today
lifted by her love.
She paints us here
under her gorgeous
sunsetting our pain
as we kiss the night.
Filled with heat
of a sunny day
and kisses low,
I rid me of many
rubbles rising
from your red
lips and weeny
hands on my heart
as we sunset to
perfect romance.
A proposed form
of sunset
beautifully exhaled
in liberty of art
Sweet essence aroused
finesse gratified
revealed by light
her heart is a rose
sun brushed
stroking my tears.
I really do not know how to cache all the excitement your poem brings to me.
The first and last line is something else. You have graciously described this art with your poem. Well done Mich👏👏👏👏👏🎉
Michelle, your words are another manifestation of ArteLeonida‘s painting; beautifully realized with your essenced finesse; “her heart is a rose sun brushed…” Slays me… (I have no idea how to add emojis here! ;-))))))
