Single and Story

Some years ago, a writer in Nigerian writer gave a speech on the dangers of a single story. I first heard it on the radio and had to go download it because it inspired me greatly. Dangers of single story. Let’s talk about it.

HEAVENLY AND FATHER

Mathew 6:26

Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Mathew 6:26

Answer the question! You may want to say that getting things done is quite difficult today. You may also want to say that our heavenly father, Jehovah, does not give you the necessary things you need to work with on earth, whereas He graciously gave you hands and a beautiful mind.

To thine own self be true.

Jehovah has provided you with everything that you’ll ever need in this life. All you need do is ask Him how you will get them.

For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks find; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

Mathew 7:8

Don’t complain. Ask your heavenly father. He answers. I will be you host today. My name is Abuh Monday Eneojo. This is Daily Wisdom Words Picture Poetry Prompt.

MONOPOLY AND MONEY

The art of making money is quite simple but many see it as very difficult because of the elite in the society who amass wealth for themselves and make it difficult for others to get to the zenith financially. This is the belief of many.

A game may not be the true test of one’s wealth but Monopoly may prove otherwise. I’m saying this because I have been playing it with my siblings. It’s quite fun and consumes time a lot but it sure proves something: how resources should be managed.

The words we get to infuse in our write on Daily Wisdom Words Picture Poetry Prompt is MONOPOLY AND MONEY. My name is Abuh Monday Eneojo.  I will be your host.

DOGS AND ME

Picture of my dog.

I’m going to make this one about me. ‘Me’ in this context represents everyone who disliked dogs before developing one or two feelings for them. Before now, I really fret when I’m faced with a dog trying to guard his/her territory.

I would run as fast as my legs can carry. My heart pouncing and pounding in fear of it’s teeth in my flesh. In my defense, I would grab a stone or a handful of earth and the dog will run away. Just so you know, some did not take the bait.

Away with fear. Let’s talk about love for this beautiful creature. Her name is Rosie. She loves to play ball, belly rub, fish and milk. Isn’t she beautiful?

Do you have fear for dogs? Do you love them? Let’s talk about it. Welcome to Daily Wisdom Words Picture Poetry Prompt. I am Abuh Monday Eneojo. I will be your host.

BLIZZARD AND WEATHER

The first word, blizzard, may be unfamiliar to most of us in terms of experience but I know one person who’s ultimately used to this term. Do you know him? He may be smiling at the moment- I am sure about that.

In the mean time, let us forget about his existence…hahaha…I am just kidding. Just so you know, I am currently seeing Ultimate Survival and Bear Grylls is testing his survival skills in Iceland. I pray he doesn’t run into hypothermia.

WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT WRITING THERAPY?

Away from that and into Blizzard and Weather, the man I was talking is Robert Frost. Hello Rob. He is fond of snow and I am sure he knows what a blizzard is all about because he sure is used to the weather. Shall we?

IDEAS AND YOU

Starting this writing prompt with this idea based question is really germane for me because I’d really want to know what you think about it.

What happens when you run out of ideas?

You see, initially, that was not the way the question presented itself to me. Not withstanding, it still is the question I wanted to ask. Where is this coming from? It is coming from my inability to get a topic and words for Daily Wisdom Words Picture Poetry Prompt. The process was quite alarming. The good news is that instead of sulking on what was to be the discourse for today, I in my own sheer will and knowledge decided to use the state of my mind as the discourse. Isn’t that an intelligent move? A clap is due for that act.

What happens when you run out of ideas? It is quite simple. You pace mentally until you get exactly what you want or something similar to it. Most times, we actually do not get and this may lead to headache or migraine depending on how well we try to get these ideas out. I know you can relate to this. Just to take your mind off the subject for a minute or two; members of Daily Wisdom Words can gift a membership to friends. All you need do is CLICK HERE and you automatically will be referred to a secured page where you complete the transaction. Gifting Daily Wisdom Words Membership is $10.

Okay. It is time to write down some beautiful ideas that may be poetic or prosaic. What happens when you run out of ideas?

LOVE AND HATE

When we love we hate; when we hate we love.

Allow me to take you on a journey. In this journey we dive into logic and the philosophy behind love and hate. Before I go any further I’d like to know what you think about the quote above. It just came to me about five minutes ago.

I don’t know if you know that love as a topic has received great attention over the years. I am not here to dispute that fact. Truly, it has clouded the actions of many and still clouds actions yet to be born.  The reason is really not far fetched.

That’s not what I want to talk about. The area I am coming from right now is under the aegis of this question:

When we love we hate; when we hate we love.

Is this quote true? Gather all you can cos it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. Yes. It sure is gonna be a bumpy ride. Not because of Cupid. No way. His arrows hold no momentum anymore.

At this juncture, I say welcome to Daily Wisdom Words Picture Poetry Prompt. For more information on how to get the art, contact REENIE via Twitter.

PICTURE AND SUN

Picture of the sun

It just occurred to me that Friday’s Picture Poetry Prompt was about the firmament: sun and moon. That’s not all. Monday’s Picture Poetry Prompt was also about this this same firmament. If you ask me, I will boldly say that this, is no coincidence. I say this because coincidence is not a word in my dictionary- I don’t believe in coincidence.

For most of you who read and follow the writing exercises on Daily Wisdom Words Picture Poetry and Music Prompt, you may have observed that I write what, when and how I feel. Have you noticed that? Well, that’s by the way.

Writers all over the globe possess various muse but something is rather too similar or should I say peculiar to writers: we cherish and admire nature. Do you have such a feel as a writer? It may not be nature for you. It may be something different.

Welcome to Daily Wisdom Words Picture Poetry Prompt. Here, we take a look at a picture- something beautiful and artistic enough for a write – and compose a poem inspired by the picture with words in title. It’s that simple.

How is it going to improve my writing skills? Listen to Robert’s testimony on YouTube.

Picture and sun. Those are the words. Can you compose a poem with it? Give it a try on Daily Wisdom Words. My name is Abuh Monday Eneojo. I will be your host. All thanks to Donna Marie for providing this picture.
