Are you superstitious?
Even if you don’t believe in the traditional superstitions like Bloody Mary, black cats crossing your path or the bad luck of breaking a mirror, chances are you still are. If you’ve ever said “bless you” to someone after sneezing to prevent their soul from coming out, that’s a superstition. If you’ve ever said something like “I’m crossing my fingers,” that’s a superstition.

Over the past few weeks, life has been a rollercoaster of emotions for me. I guess that’s to be expected because that’s what life is in general; a little bit of this, a little bit of that.
With that in mind, the thing that’s kept me going is a major literary projects I’ve been working on for a while now. The further I progressed with that project, the smaller other hurdles seemed.
In honor of that feeling and my literary project coming more and more fruition, I’m reposting a post about the benefits of writing. But it’s not simply a copy and paste job as I’m adding additional content to it.

If you’re a writer, you know this feeling inside out. You open up your laptop ready to write up a storm. Two hours later, your page is still blank. You have writer’s block.

You do it. I do it. We all do it at some point in our lives. Some may do it more than others. But the devil called procrastination has visited all of us at least once and usually, multiple times through various trials and tribbulations.
