The world is moving at such a breakneck speed that sometimes we tend forget the value of some simple things in life.
One of them is the act of common courtesy.

In my last two articles, I provided a brief history and an introduction of what Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS) exactly is. In this concluding part, I’ll provide feedback from both people I interviewed as well as people who were quoted publicly on whether DNRS proved to be beneficial to them.
“There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.”
-William Shakespeare
In my previous articles, I had given a brief introduction to Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS). I had talked about what exactly DNRS is and what kind of illnesses it is used to treat, both mental as well as physical.
But how exactly does it work and how does one get into it? I should make a disclaimer here and point out that much of this information I talk about in this particular article is compiled from various interviews given by Annie Hopper, the founder DNRS.
Dear Members & Readers,
Heartfelt apologies. It’s been a few days late but I finally have the other parts of my article on Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS).
“There is no reality, only perception. Identify the filters through which you view the world.”
-Dr. Phil
What is Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS)? Founded by Annie Hopper, a limbic system rehabilitation specialist, DNRS claims to be a neuroplasticity-based treatment method for chronic illnesses, some physical and some psychological.
If we break it down, neuroplasticity is basically the functioning of different networks in our brains. These networks allow the brain to grow (or shrink), organize, direct and redirect depending on the environment we’re in at any given time.
“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”
-Henry David Thoreau
Can you rewire your brain so that positive thoughts remain on top and negativity remains in the background?
“Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has plenty; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.”
-Charles Dickens
Do you express gratitude as often as you should?
“Faith is taking the first step when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
-Martin Luther King Jr.
Is faith a term that can only be used in the context of religion? Can you have faith without being religious?
“The way to develop decisiveness is to start right where you are, with the very next question you face.”
-Napoleon Hill
We all have to make them several times a day. Some are made without a second’s hesitation. Others require a lot of calculations.
I’m talking about decisions.

“Mindfulness isn’t difficult. We just need to remember to do it.”
-Sharon Saltzberg
In a previous article, I had discussed how a state of mindfulness is not just a mental or psychological exercise. Done properly, it can also have a number of physical benefits as well. After writing that article, I got a couple of questions asking how exactly one would get started if they’ve never done so before. It’s my hope that this article answers some of those questions and serves as a basic introduction to mindfulness meditation.
“Being sick is just your body’s way of saying you’re too awesome, and you need to slow down, so everyone can catch up.”
-Unknown
Being sick sucks, right? It can put you in a depressing mood and everything, be it eating, talking or simply getting out of bed seems like a chore.
But what if I said that there are certain benefits of becoming sick?
An amazing thing happens when you stop seeking approval and validation: You find it.
-Mandy Hale
How necessary is it to for us to have validation?
In terms of needing it, not very necessary at all in most aspects of life. Wanting it, however, is a different story. As human beings, we want validation for everything we do. We like compliments. We like people agreeing with us.
“Smiling does not necessarily mean you’re happy. Sometimes it just means you’re strong.”
-Nishan Panwar
In the past, I’ve written a post or two about the power of a smile. I talked about how it could make someone’s day and the psychological effects it can have on you even when you’re not really happy.
“The world is giving you answers everyday. Just learn to listen.”

If you set your goals ridiculously high and it’s a failure, you will fail above everyone else’s success.”
-James Cameron
Picture this scenario for a moment as we’ve all had it happen to us at one time or another.
You’ve just recently stumbled upon a new opportunity or endeavor that see as taking you further in life. It could be a new career, moving somewhere, meeting someone who seems like the love of your life or anything else. Whatever or whomever it is, you strongly feel it’ll change your life significantly.

While origins of this quote are sketchy, popular opinion suggests that it’s a translation of an old Chinese proverb.
“I always REMINDED myself that this wasn’t exactly where I was meant to be, but pit stops are okay on the road of life, aren’t they?
-Lena Dunham
We’re all living in times in which mental rebooting has become absolutely essential to our sanity.
“No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.”

Welcome to the eighth installment of my #PayItForward series. In a bit of a departure from the usual format, I’m highlighting three writers instead of five in order to give the ample amount of space to each person that they deserve.
“Tied to apron strings, dreams forget to fly!”
-Orion
The noblest thoughts we can have is wanting to help someone, especially when we’re personally not gaining anything from it. Help is what takes humanity forward. Help is what keeps everyone going as we all need it at many stages of our lives.
Dreams are as simple or as complicated as the dreamer.
-Brian Herbert
Can what you dream at night come true, literally? It’s happened to me a few times. I dreamed a particular occurrence or event and within 48 hours of dreaming it, it unfolded in real life exactly the way it did in my dreams. Am I psychic?
