FINALITY

FINALITY OR ENDINGS CAN BE MOST DIFFICULT. KNOWING WHEN IT IS TIME TO END SOMETHING CAUSING US MORE GREIF THAN GOOD, LEAVES MUCH SADNESS BUT OPENS DOORS TO NEW BEGINNINGS.

TEARS “Why we have tears when we cry”

Tears are a part of crying and a part of the healing process. When we cry, we release pain and it is necessary to release this pain so it doesn’t hurt other parts of who we are.

YEARNINGS

What happens when we miss those we once loved from our past? We all can experience yearning for others we once loved. The memories flood into our mind and we may even cry when we think of them. It is hard to believe this is always the way it has to be.

WOUNDS (WHAT DO PHYSICAL WOUNDS AND EMOTIONAL WOUNDS HAVE IN COMMON?)

Physical wounds and emotional wounds share more in common than you may think. We can’t bury our emotional abuse and hope it goes away. It does not and that emotional abuse will surface again.

DOMETIC VIOLENCE – PART 2 (MALES) – REPOST

β€œβ€¦Sexual abuse is no object to age, gender or sexual orientation.” -Journalist Justina Bakutyte
In the first part of this post, I explored some possible reasons why people who are abused stay in those relationships longer than a person looking on from the outside might think they should. In this part, it’s my intent to explore that subject further but with one difference. This post will focus on a lesser discussed topic; males who are abused.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – PART 1 (REPOST)

“It is better to break your own heart by leaving an abusive relationship rather than having that person break your heart every day.” -Unknown
How many times have you either said or heard someone you know say: “He/she hits me but really does love me.” “That’s not him/her, that’s just the anger. It’ll get better soon” “I should try to be a better person.”

MINDFULNESS (REVISED)

β€œWherever you are, be there totally.” -Eckhart Tolle
In this day and age, there’s a myriad of articles, tips, advice to focus on our mental state of mind in order to have more control, if not completely conquer. I myself have written countless posts on this topic for this site as well.

DNRS – PART 2 – ORIGIN & HOW IT WORKS

β€œThere is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.” -William Shakespeare
In my previous articles, I had given a brief introduction to Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS). I had talked about what exactly DNRS is and what kind of illnesses it is used to treat, both mental as well as physical. But how exactly does it work and how does one get into it? I should make a disclaimer here and point out that much of this information I talk about in this particular article is compiled from various interviews given by Annie Hopper, the founder DNRS.

MINDFULNESS – THE REAL DEAL

“Wherever you are, be there totally.” -Eckhart Tolle
In this day and age, there’s a myriad of articles, tips, advice to focus on our mental state of mind in order to have more control, if not completely conquer. I myself have written countless posts on this topic for this site as well. But why is that? To the best of my knowledge, none of us really possess an ability of telekinesis to where if smiling will magically get rid of a virus or a backache. And yet, there is more emphasis on a mind-body connection today then ever before. What makes it so? What exactly makes the art of mindfulness so efficacious in practical terms?

COPING WITH DEATH

β€œIf the people we love are stolen from us, the way to have them live on is to never stop loving them. Buildings burn, people die, but real love is forever.”

-James O’Barr
We all go through it. It happens to people we love and cherish dearly. You know it’s coming and will continue to come till the end of humanity. It’s pre-destined from the day you’re born. I’m talking about death.

SELF-HARM & CUTTING – REVISED

“‘See no scars.’ But it’s all lies. They only check wrists…not thighs.” -Unknown
Today happens to be a very special day for me. Not because it’s St. Patrick’s Day although admittedly, its modern day traditions of wearing green, parades, etc do indeed hold a fascination for me. But as most of the world celebrates the inclusion of Christianity in Ireland (and perhaps pinch a friend or two in jest who is not wearing green) I’m celebrating something else: It’s been one whole year since I last cut myself.
