As I write this, Christmas is just a few days away. All around my neighborhood and nearby grocery stores, I see some of the brightest and beautiful lights. And that’s certainly a great feeling.

Imagine this scenario: You’re working on a specific project or endeavor and nothing seems to be going right. Every plan, no matter how analytical when conceived, falls apart. You try and try and try and there’s no hope in sight. In short, you feel you have no option left but to give up.

For centuries now, we’ve all heard the term “carpe diem.” But is that enough to live life to the fullest in the 21st century?
The term first originated in Roman poet Horace’s poetry collection, The Odes sometime in 23 BC. In context, the full line in which it appeared has been translated as “Seize the day; trust tomorrow e’en as little as you may.”

In a previous post I had talked about the importance of being patient and how what’s meant to be yours will eventually come to you even if it’s later than expected.

I’ve written about cutting negative people out of your life or at least keeping a social distance (pun intended, ha) in some of my earlier posts. But a tweet I saw this morning made me think a little. A person’s tweet asked what if the toxic comes from a parent and/or an adult child? Should they cut them off?

The year is 2000. I’m in high school. The bell has rung and I’m about to go from choir class to Spanish class. Spanish class has two textbooks which my teacher, Mr. Brown, uses interchangeably. Unfortunately, I’m not sure which one is needed for that particular day. Perhaps Mr. Brown had mentioned it the day before and perhaps he hadn’t. I can’t remember.

As of this writing, (12:51 PM CT) most of America has been glued to their TV sets, phones, computers and/or any other device which will inform them updates about the presidential election. Even those that haven’t have at least been holding their breath and on their toes while going about other daily tasks.
And theses emotions are normal as there is no doubt, a lot at stake. But as we all grapple with what I’ve termed “election anxiety,” we should remember that the fate of individual happiness does not, nor should it, begin and end with one person no matter who wins.

In my last two articles, I provided a brief history and an introduction of what Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS) exactly is. In this concluding part, I’ll provide feedback from both people I interviewed as well as people who were quoted publicly on whether DNRS proved to be beneficial to them.

But how exactly does it work and how does one get into it? I should make a disclaimer here and point out that much of this information I talk about in this particular article is compiled from various interviews given by Annie Hopper, the founder DNRS.

What is Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS)? Founded by Annie Hopper, a limbic system rehabilitation specialist, DNRS claims to be a neuroplasticity-based treatment method for chronic illnesses, some physical and some psychological.
If we break it down, neuroplasticity is basically the functioning of different networks in our brains. These networks allow the brain to grow (or shrink), organize, direct and redirect depending on the environment we’re in at any given time.
